Teaching philosophy
The way I teach, as well as what I teach, has been shaped by my own experiences—my consulting career prior to academia, my research interests, and my time as a student. These experiences have led me to prioritize inspiring and engaging discussions, peer learning, and fairness at the core of my teaching philosophy.
Drawing from my professional background, I understand the importance of applying knowledge to strategic decisions. I balance theory and practice by incorporating the latest academic publications and guiding students through real-world cases involving leading brands, while sharing relevant examples from my consulting experience. This approach fosters insightful and dynamic discussions centered on cutting-edge ideas.
Having taught at an institution that promotes active blended learning, I appreciate the value of creating engaging online and offline experiences. To maximize learning, I develop a tailored mix of both formats using tools such as Canvas, Blackboard, Kahoot, Mentimeter, Padlet, and peer-to-peer review platforms.
My efforts to inspire and engage students are recognized not only by the organizations I collaborate with but also by the students themselves. One student shared: “I really liked Georgia! She was not only approachable on a personal level but also highly competent in her field. I enjoyed being in this course and learned a lot for my future.”
